Everything you need to know!! Audition Information -Turn in audition form (page 1) filled out completely ……with parent signature! -Choose two character monologues even if the character that you are auditioning for is not listed. You will perform both at auditions. It does not have to be memorized but you will have a better audition if it is! -Choose ONE song to sing for your audition. You will perform with the rehearscore. Rehearscore can be found online and on canvas -Read lines from scenes with other actors (This will not happen for all auditioning) PLEASE ONLY ATTEND ONE DAY OF AUDITIONS! Important Audition Tips: Never make excuses for yourself before, during, or after an audition. Stay in character. What would your character sound like, act like, react like? Make sure you are loud, clear, and confident. Practice out loud. Be well rehearsed. It is clear when a student has not practiced. If you have fun, we have fun! |

Choose one song to sing for your audition. If auditioning for one of the of characters list - use their song. If the character who you are auditioning for is not listed, choose another character or use a generic audition piece.
You will get to sing along with rehearscore - so practice. It is also possible that you might be asked to sing scales if needed. CastingBased on the works of Dr. Seuss. The show follows the adventures of Horton, an elephant who one day hears voices coming from a speck of dust, and he soon discovers that within this tiny speck exists the smallest planet in the universe! Ridiculed by the other animals in the Jungle of Nool for believing in something he cannot see, Horton stubbornly persists in his belief that the Whos exist.
